Letter from Elder Peacock...1/14/11

Hi Family! My favorite part about this week was.........Jeffrey R. Holland came and spoke to us! It was so amazing! I loved being yelled at by an Apostle (that's a joke haha), but he speaks so forcefully and with so much passion, but still with love. It was probably my favorite thing from the MTC yet. He just talked to us about his mission, and the life of Christ, and so many other amazing things! He is so funny. This week we start teaching in only Portuguese. Ha...I'm nervous, but excited...it is going to be fun.

That's crazy about Dad's interview. It sounds like the Lord might have had something to do with that. I will continue to pray for dad in that aspect, but I know it will all work out for the best if we just counsel with the Lord. That is awesome that Brigham is playing basketball. I wish I could help him. But, just play your hardest and have fun, and number 24 is an awesome number. One thing that I think would be cool to get (when you can get around to it) is a Portugal flag. Our teachers tell us so many awesome stories about Portugal. I also learned something cool that I think the brothers would like -- in Mandarin Chinese, Elder means Jedi, so in a sense you can all become Jedi Cluff's (that's pretty awesome). Oh yeah, I love to hear of Cameron's awesome stories, they truly make my whole day! Make sure you have everybody type or tell you what to type in the next letter so I can hear from them. Oh yeah, something cool happened last week when we went to the temple. Blake's dad was the temple worker there, it was sweet :)!

Here is a little part of my testimony in Portuguese. Eu sei que Jesus Cristo e o nosso salvador e redentor. Eu sei que Dues restaurou o Seu evangelho atraves de Joseph Smith. I ran out of time...

I love you all so very much and pray for you everyday, Eu amo Voces i love you all,

Elder Peacock
